History

"ESPACIO ENTER has arisen as a homage to all the artists and personnel who made Espacio 41 a reality over its six year existence (1983-1989). During those years Spain was entering a period of colour and creativity that hadn't been around for decades. And Tenerife also had a major role to play as a place where we could feel cosmopolitan, taking part in an original and explosive exchange of ideas that helped to define who many of us are today. In addition to this period of innocence we can now enjoy the knowledge of a global world that offers us a multitude of opportunities. We have grown but we hold onto the belief that a better world is possible. Art and culture can help to achieve it." Joseba Franco.

Because of that, and not out of any nostalgia, the creators that carry on their work in the Canary Islands, will receive particular consideration and play a special role in the general programming.

In the month of July, a live CD will be recorded with the most important and innovative Canary Island groups. (Dates and venue for the recording will be announced shortly).
