Proyecto: Disposable

Is a looped video intended to be projected onto a wall, preferably with the edges of the projection softened, to avoid showing the square of the projection surface, leaving only the morphed object in the middle visible.
Short text: Morphed disposable plastic covers take on multiple shapes. In a looped sequence they resemble sea creatures or some polymorph existence. I believe that dead matter somehow constitutes living forces of our minds, that they populate our consciousness where they take on lives of their own. Everything we produce creates consequences in the physical surroundings as well as in our mental worlds, and we might not be aware of it beforehand.

La maneja, pero vive de los recursos que ella le brinda. No puede reproducirla, aunque la ciencia lo intente. Y así va, machacando con tecnología lo que con tecnología no puede recomponer. Produce desordenadamente y en función del lucro, ya no de las necesidades. El hombre ataca a la naturaleza y luego la purga. El hombre, tan sabio e ignorante, se siente amo y acaba por ser esclavo de sus propios actos, que replican en las desventuras fenoménicas de la naturaleza. Y así va, carcomiendo las entrañas y recogiendo los frutos inmediatos, para luego sufrir las plagas futuras. Los animales coexisten con la naturaleza y jamás se imponen sobre ella. Se camuflan. El hombre, superior y supremo soberbio, maniata la naturaleza, maniata los animales y maniata a otros hombres. Y así va, reduciéndola a cenizas, hasta que la tierra se mueve, el mar se agrieta y, supurante y maldito, el aire se cubre de polvo. El hombre, que todo lo sabe, ya no sabe saber. tag: videoart

		Susana Bárbara Buenos Aires. Argentina Proyecto: DECODIFICANDO Las frases hechas invaden todos los ámbitos. Dentro de la plástica, existe una expectativa permanente acerca del discurso tanto de un emisor/espectador como de un receptor/artista. Dicho discurso suele estar constituido por oraciones prefabricadas, una suerte de banco de explicaciones, comentarios, justificaciones, aclaraciones etc. al cual se acude en los momentos en los cuales se exige una respuestas adecuada, que no siempre es verdadera. Los receptores descifran estas frases ocasionales quitando las prefabricadas capas para llegar al verdadero significado, Un significado no siempre esperado que sensiblemente modifica al expectante receptor. tag: videoart

Escuchando los relatos de las vícitimas lamentablemente se repiten frases, justificaciones o solo lamentos. Estas frases quedaron atrapadas, no dichas a tiempo entre las herida sufridas . 137 es el número de teléfono gratuito del Ministerio de Justicia para denuncias de violencia de género. tag: videoart

I tell this short-circuit, the magic of touch and recognition of the presence of the others, and of something elusive but undeniable, through interaction design. I have a low-voltage electrode in the arm. The other pole is attached to the foil that covers the table. When I touch the flesh, this is a conductor and the circuit closes, sending a signal to a digital synthesizer that translates it into sound. Nothing can help us in this journey of discovery, where we have to venture drained and free, even if you exorcise your trip on a table supported by piles of books. In the version made at the Macro Testaccio I decided to involve the public, creating a human chain. The electrical impulse travels from the piece of meat on the table to my hands, through the bodies of all the people present.
